Mengubah Atau Mempercantik Fasad Bangunan?
Banyak orang yang ingin rumahnya berbeda; indah. Pemikiran ini yang menyebabkan sejumlah pemilik rumah yang telah membeli rumah dari pengembang perumahan mempunyai keinginan merubah fasad bangunan dan bagi beberapa arsitek, fasad bangunan merupakan godaan untuk menunjukan "jati diri" nya.
Ada beberapa pertimbangan dalam menata fasad:
Apakah fasad yang ada masih indah? sehingga hanya diperlukan sedikit 'make up" untuk mempercantiknya atau memang diperlukan untuk merubah fasad karena esensi dan konsepnya berbeda.

Tips mempercantik fasad : kita seringkali tergoda untuk memberikan aksen pada semua fasad bangunan sehingga masing- masing detail fasad terkesan ' berbicara' sendiri- sendiri : ' ini aku'.
Salah satu tips mempercantik fasad adalah memberikan nilai/konsep dari sesuatu untuk dikomunikasikan- tidak harus semua fasad penuh dengan detail. Foto diatas : Fasad bangunan hanya diwarna dengan warna natural tanpa melapisi dengan detail apapun; tetapi kita padukan dengan hijaunya taman yang dapat diekspose dengan pagar kaca dari luar tanpa membuat taman lagi di sisi luar rumah.
2. jika memang diperlukan untuk merubah fasad; alasan dan konsep mengapa kita merubahnya dapat digali menjadi ide dasar dalam mendesain fasad yang ada.
